I offer board approved supervision for LPC Associates in Texas and licensed therapists in the state of Texas. I also offer individual therapy and consultation services.
As a supervisor, I specialize in working with LPC Associates in Texas who are opening their own practices while under supervision, as well as LPCs who are facing a difficult professional situation.
As a therapist, my focus is complex trauma and complicated/disenfranchised grief. For more about therapy, visit www.betterlifedallas.com.

If you are seeking therapy, I accept Aetna and United Healthcare, but it is best to let us check your benefits for you to confirm that we are able to bill your insurance.
If I am out of network, I can provide you with a superbill showing your out of pocket expenses that you can submit to insurance.

This is a GREAT question! Let’s start with supervision. What make me different from many supervisors are the professionals I work with and my approach to professional growth.
My practice is focused on supervision of Licensed Professional Counselor Associates who are starting their own practices, and consultation or supervision of Licensed Professional Counselors who are looking for support during a trying time professionally.
My approach to supervision and professional growth is based on humanistic philosophy. I strongly believe in helping professionals find their own style, practice ethically with genuine confidence, and draw on their personal life experiences to deepen their work with clients. Working with me means working on yourself personally and professionally. Knowing who and how you are, and how you got to be the way you are, is absolutely essential to becoming a good therapist because you bring (all of) yourself to every session, even if you think you are leaving some of you at the door.
As a therapist, it’s not so much about what makes me “different” as what makes me a good fit for you. The most important thing is that you feel heard and valued. Most therapists strive to create a safe environment for clients where they can feel this becuase we understand how important it is to your successful growth and healing. The truth is, the way one therapist does it may be perfect for you, and the way another does it may not work at all. This is why I encourage you to take advantage of the free 15 minute phone consultation. You can ask questions and get a feel for how I work and who I am. This is really the best way to assess whether I have the skills and personality that you are seeking. If I do, we can schedule you appointment at the end of the call. If I don’t, I might be able to point you to another professional who might be a better fit for you.

Because I work with Associates who are opening their own practices, I do not hire Associates. If you need an affordable physical space for your own practice, that is something I’m happy to discuss if we decide to move forward with supervision.
